Privacy Policy

Introduction

Last updated October 29, 2026. Discover OC (discover-orangecounty.com) is an independent Orange County discovery project operated by Juan Lugarda. This policy explains the information involved in visiting our website, saving places, and submitting forms. Privacy inquiries: greetings@juanlugarda.com.

Information submitted

Our website includes an optional email signup form. If you submit it, we receive the email address you enter through our website/form provider, Webflow. We may use your address to send Discover OC updates when you have requested them, and to administer your subscription. We do not currently provide user accounts or collect payment information through the website. Marketing emails must include an unsubscribe option; you may also request removal at greetings@juanlugarda.com. Do not submit sensitive personal information through the form.

My OC saves

Discover OC uses Finsweet Components to support features including My OC saved places. Saved selections are stored in your browser on the device you use; they are not necessarily available on other devices, and clearing browser storage may erase them. Certain technical requests to Webflow, Finsweet, or related service infrastructure may occur while these features operate.

Technical and analytics data

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use Discover OC. Standard GA4 measurement includes page views, sessions, approximate location, browser/device details, and interactions where enabled. Google Analytics can use first-party cookies or identifiers to distinguish browsers and visits; Google processes measurement data on our behalf. Our website hosting provider, Webflow, also processes technical information such as IP address, browser information, and request logs to provide and secure the website. Google Search Console is used to monitor our site's presence in Google Search; it does not itself require a visitor-facing tracking cookie on our website.

External services

Directions links can open Google Maps. The site may also link to outside websites or social platforms. Once you follow those links, the outside provider's privacy policy applies. We do not currently offer paid accounts or on-site checkout.

Sharing and retention

Information may be processed by service providers used to operate Discover OC, including Webflow for hosting and form submissions, Finsweet for site functionality, and Google for analytics and search reporting. We do not operate Discover OC as an advertising marketplace and do not intentionally sell visitors' email addresses. Retention depends on the purpose: saved favorites remain in your browser until cleared, while form records and analytics information are retained according to our account settings, operational needs, and applicable requirements. We will review those settings as part of the site privacy audit.

Your choices and rights

You can remove browser cookies and locally saved My OC places in your browser settings. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in a message or contact greetings@juanlugarda.com to request assistance with your submitted information. Applicable laws may provide additional access, deletion, correction, or privacy-choice rights. We will review requests in accordance with the laws applicable to Discover OC. The site's Cookie Policy explains analytics cookies and browser storage.

Updates
